Welcome!

We are Heather Logan and Ben Barlow, chef/owners of the Stanley Supper Club.  Our story starts about nine miles from where our restaurant is today, in the kitchen of a little guest ranch.  Both of us came out to Stanley in the summer of 2012 looking for a fresh start and to be surrounded by the beautiful Sawtooth Valley.  We met working breakfast, with me on the egg station and her baking. Every day after our shifts, we would meet behind the kitchen to share cookies and slices of pineapple that we had stolen for each other throughout the day. Summer wore on, our snack breaks grew longer and longer, and soon it became clear that we would be partners for life. Time and opportunity took us away from Stanley; we traveled the world and spent years working in Seattle’s fine dining scene.  But Heather and I could never stay away from Stanley for long, visiting every year and always dreaming of settling down there.

As time went on, we started looking for something more permanent that we could craft together.  The two of us have always loved the fine dining experience: the idea that you can relax for a couple of hours and know that the food will be excellent and you will be well taken care of.  But in our hearts, we’re simple people; we like fried chicken, Miller High Life, and big comfy chairs. Our dream was to create something that had the best of both worlds; a homey place where you can relax and where simple food is prepared with skill and great care.  Enter the Stanley Supper Club. Here we have been given the most amazing opportunity to serve the food that we get excited about in a place we love. It is our goal to be able to provide a comfortable and relaxing dining experience for every guest, regardless of budget or taste.  We hope you’ll join us for dinner soon.
